Michelle & Erin

From the moment that they inquired about a session with me I knew it would be loads of fun. Here's the story....... About a year ago Michelle moved away, far away, just outside of London! Upon returning home for a visit she was really wanting to have some pictures done which embodied the places she was so fond of and included a  friend who was dear to her. Although Michelle and Erin have only known each other for a few years it is apparent that they share a special friendship. I had a great evening with you ladies and had so many favorites that it was tricky choosing which ones to post. Michelle I hope that we have captured your vision and that these pictures bring you right back "home".

Country Fun

There is an innocence that I believe only children posses and this is why I adore observing them, playing with them and photographing them. To observe a child deeply engaged in play is a beautiful thing. The following photos are from the year end field trip to Country Fun.  The kids had a blast checking out the animals, mini golfing and riding the train. From my observation they seemed happiest just playing at the playground. The more I look at these photos a stillness or quietness becomes apparent . Also wanting to send a huge thanks out to the lovely ladies at Wee Care Preschool for organizing such great adventures for our little ones. Here are the kids..... just doing their thing!

Our Little Grad

We celebrated the ending of Grace's first year of pre-school today! It's days like these that prove how just how quickly time passes and how much our children have grown. The kids sang their songs and said their goodbye's and it was all too cute. We headed to the park after to do some family shots however our session ended abruptly with one massive meltdown. Here are a few shots while everyone was still happy!!

Cocoa

Situations like the one that you are about to watch are a daily occurrence at our household. Normally I scoop up the culprit or culprits and off to the bath we go. Today Shawn grabbed the camera and shot this clip..... brilliant! What was different about today is that Smith was solo on Mission Cocoa, while all the while Max was being very cute and charming..... I'm starting to wonder if Max was simply creating a diversion for his bro...... hmmmmmm!

Muffin Man

Today has been one of those days where the routine is thrown out the window and we simply go with the flow. Normally the twins eat, sleep and play at the same times...... not today! Smith decided that he didn't really need a nap this morning. When he finally did crash Max and I had some time together so I threw on some Babylegs and grabbed my camera. I love the natural light {north facing window} that spills over his face in some of these pictures. Max next time we'll play trucks.... promise!!

Brittany

When I think back to this day it makes me giggle. I convinced my sister to come along as a model and the next thing you know she is up in a tree looking all glamorous while six of us photographed her paparazzi style. I kept thinking to myself I wonder what she's thinking!! Brittany you did fantastic and thanks again for coming, I hope that you love these pictures! I loved the diversity of this location and want to thank the Northern Image Photo Group for inviting me to come along, it was my first time shooting with a group and I must say that it was just as interesting watching everyone do their thing. Thanks to Janet for entertaining Grace while we took advantage of the hay bails....... I have been itching for some time now to use hay and would love to try it out again in some better light. Miss Brittany and your big blue eyes here they are....... finally!
